City Nature Challenge 2023 Saskatoon and Area CNC YXE 2023

Join us for the 2023 City Nature Challenge in Saskatoon and Area! Cities around the world will be collaborating to share observations of nature. Download the free iNaturalist app, and find any wild plant, animal, or other evidence of life in your city. Take a picture or record a sound and share your observations on iNaturalist or your city's chosen platform. Remember, if it's planted or taken care of by people, it's not wild. Mark it as captive/cultivated! The event runs from April 28 to May 1, 2023. Let's celebrate nature together and be the voice for nature. For more information, visit friendsareas.ca. The Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas Inc. non profit environmental charity celebrates WintercityYXE - Saskatoon's Winter Strategy and thanks the City of Saskatoon for approving the Winter Animation Fund . As recipients of the "Take It Outside" Grant, the Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas Inc. announce their programming to enhance being "Outside Safely."  The Take It Outside Grant Program was created in 2020 to support organizations hosting COVID-19 safe outdoor activities. To enhance being " Outside Safely ," the Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas Inc. (Friends) will promote and recommend safe outdoor activity along the 326-acre Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area (RSBBAA) Winter Trail Network.
