Thrilled to share the incredible efforts of the City of Saskatoon and the Government of Canada towards a greener, more sustainable future! 🍃 The YXE Green Infrastructure Project by Saskatoon's Sustainability Department is a game-changer for regeneration and wilding, creating green habitats while safeguarding our precious green spaces.

🌟 Honored to witness the announcement from the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities, alongside Terry Duguid, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister and Special Advisor for Water, and MP for Winnipeg South, and His Worship Charlie Clark, Mayor of Saskatoon. Together, they revealed a joint investment of over $34 million to support Saskatoon’s Green Network. 🌳 This initiative ensures continuous, high-quality green spaces for both people and wildlife in our city.

The Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas Inc. non profit environmental charity celebrates WintercityYXE - Saskatoon's Winter Strategy and thanks the City of Saskatoon for approving the Winter Animation Fund . As recipients of the "Take It Outside" Grant, the Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas Inc. announce their programming to enhance being "Outside Safely."  The Take It Outside Grant Program was created in 2020 to support organizations hosting COVID-19 safe outdoor activities. To enhance being " Outside Safely ," the Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas Inc. (Friends) will promote and recommend safe outdoor activity along the 326-acre Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area (RSBBAA) Winter Trail Network.
